Why Nasa is cutting budget for Hubble, Chandra

NASA is considering funding reductions for the Hubble Space Telescope and the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, according to a recent report. The cutbacks are part of a plan to allocate resources to new programs at NASA due to budget constraints. The proposed 2024 NASA budget allocates $93.3 million for Hubble and $68.7 million for Chandra, representing roughly 10% of the total budget request for NASA’s astrophysics division.
