‘Sickened’: Billionaire’s foundation cuts ties with Harvard
The Wexner Foundation has ended its 34-year partnership with Harvard and the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) due to the university’s inadequate response to the Hamas assault on Israel. The foundation expressed disappointment with Harvard President Claudine Gay’s “weak and ambiguous” reaction to a letter from over 30 student groups blaming Israel. The foundation had provided significant contributions to HKS and supported 10 fellows each year through its Wexner Israel Fellowship, which aimed to develop Israel’s future public leaders. This move follows criticism of Harvard’s response to the conflict and the resignation of Israeli billionaires from the Kennedy School’s executive board.
