Shashi Tharoor calls Congress ‘family-run’ party, clears the air later

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor believes that the INDIA coalition has a strong chance of defeating the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but his remark dubbing Congress as a “family-run party” has caused controversy. Tharoor clarified that he has previously stated that the Nehru-Gandhi family is the strength of the party. He also mentioned that Rahul Gandhi would likely be the overwhelming choice of Congress workers in any internal poll.
