Women in Gujarat’s Rajkot displayed great enthusiasm as they performed the traditional ‘Garba’ dance while riding two-wheelers and wielding swords at Rajvi palace. This cultural practice, known as ‘Talwar Ras’ or ‘Sword-wielding’, is deeply rooted in Gujarat’s traditions. Devotees across the country gathered at temples to perform morning ‘aarti’ on the third day of Navratri. The 9-day-long festival of Shardiya Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Maa Durga and her nine avatars, known as Navdurga.
