A man who ran a smuggling operation involved in smuggling 10,000 people to the UK as part of a pan-European network has been jailed for 11 years in Belgium. Hewa Rahimpur, originally from Iran, sourced small boats from Turkey and had them delivered to Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The boats were then used to smuggle migrants across the Channel to England.
