Man murders boyfriend for his engagement to woman

Police have arrested a 19-year-old man for choking his male lover to death in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. The victim, Jitendra Kumar, had recently become engaged to a woman from a neighboring village, which angered Ajay Singh, his lover. Singh confessed to the crime and stated that he did not want to kill Kumar in Haryana, as it would make him a suspect. The murder took place in their native village. Singh was apprehended while attempting to flee to Haryana.
