‘Tilak a must’: Ujjain Garba bans non-Hindus
A Garba organizer in Ujjain has put up posters “banning” non-Hindus from entering the Navratri celebrations, claiming it is to prevent love jihad. They are checking Aadhar cards before allowing entry. Law enforcement authorities do not seem to mind, stating it is a private function. The organizer also enforces a rule that every male attendee will be welcomed with a tilak. The event is popular and attracts over 5,000 people. The organizers claim they are not against any religion but want to prevent love jihad and restrict entry to those spreading animosity.
