Docs harvest organs of 4-day-old infant, will help 2 kids

Doctors in Surat have successfully retrieved organs from a four-day-old brain-dead infant, including two kidneys, two corneas, the liver, and the spleen. The kidneys will be transplanted into an eight-month-old child in Ahmedabad, while the liver will be sent to New Delhi to save the life of a 10-month-old child. This is the first time organs have been harvested from such a young brain-dead patient, and the results of the transplants will be known soon.
