Californians to undertake earthquake drills on Great ShakeOut Day

Californians are participating in the Great California ShakeOut Day on October 19 to promote earthquake preparedness. At 10:19 a.m., residents will practice earthquake drills, emphasizing actions like “Drop, Cover, and Hold On.” The event aims to reduce injuries and save lives by preparing individuals for immediate actions during earthquakes. The California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) is touring the state with a shake simulator, providing earthquake preparedness tips.
