K’taka dy CM DKS visits Belagavi, none in Cong receive him

Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar visited Belagavi, but none of the 11 Congress MLAs from the district were present to receive him. This visit has caused growing anger among Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi and his supporters, who feel that Shivakumar is interfering in the district’s politics. The latest issue is over the transfer of officials, with Satish transferring a Belagavi Urban Development Authority official, only for them to regain the same post through Laxmi Hebbalkar. Shivakumar denies any differences with Satish and downplays the suggestion that he is being ignored by his party members.
