Chandrayaan-3’s Alpha Particle X-Ray Spectrometer (APXS) instrument experienced a momentary blackout due to a late addition of a rover safety consideration, according to Santosh Vadawale, the principal investigator of the APXS. However, the fault was quickly rectified, and the instrument successfully carried out in-situ analysis of the Moon’s soil and rocks.
