Spirit Airlines cancels dozens of flights to inspect some of its planes

Spirit Airlines has canceled around 100 flights and expects disruptions to last several days due to inspections on some of its planes. The airline did not provide details on the nature of the inspections but stated that they were necessary and that the impact on their network would persist as they complete the inspections. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is aware of the inspections and will ensure they are addressed before the planes are returned to service. Spirit Airlines has canceled over 3,600 flights this year, lower than other leading carriers.
