Experts focus on ancient jurisprudence at Bennett meet

Experts at a seminar in Bennett University highlighted the need to explore ancient Indian jurisprudence to expedite legal case resolution in India. The seminar, titled “Ancient Indian Jurisprudence” aimed to revitalize the Indianization of the legal system and draw inspiration from ancient wisdom. The experts urged law students to study primary sources like the Vedas, Smritis, and Dharmasastras instead of relying on European discourses. They emphasized the importance of inclusive decision-making and localizing justice-making for sustainability and development. The seminar also inaugurated the Centre for Ancient Indian Jurisprudence at Bennett University.
