Grand Canyon National Park introduces EV fast chargers
Grand Canyon National Park has installed six fast chargers at its south entrance for electric vehicle (EV) drivers. The chargers, installed by Electrify America, offer charging speeds from 150 kW to 350 kW. The move aims to enhance accessibility for environmentally conscious visitors and combat human-induced pollution in national parks. EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions, unlike traditional gas-powered vehicles. The installation of EV charging infrastructure at iconic locations like national parks is seen as a logical and environmentally responsible step.
