Why China’s export curbs is a problem for Ukraine
Ukraine is facing a challenge in its conflict with Russia as it reportedly loses around 10,000 drones per month. The availability of Chinese drones and components, which are crucial for the country, has diminished due to China’s recent restrictions on drone exports. These restrictions apply to longer-range drones weighing over 4kg and related equipment. Chinese manufacturers now need export licenses and must provide end-user certificates. DJI, the world’s largest commercial drone manufacturer from China, has suspended direct sales to both countries involved in the conflict.
