‘Kabul House’ families to challenge eviction orders

The “Kabul House” in Dehradun, once owned by Afghanistan’s ruler in the 19th and 20th centuries, has been a source of dispute between residents and the district administration. The property, designated as “enemy property,” has been occupied by families for several decades. After a prolonged legal battle, the district magistrate has ordered the families to vacate the premises within 15 days. The families claim to have valid ownership documents and are planning to approach the high court.
