Israel strikes two Hezbollah cells in Lebanon, military says
Israeli aircraft targeted two Hezbollah cells in Lebanon that were planning to launch missiles and rockets towards Israel. The strikes come as fighting continues along the shared border between the two countries. Hezbollah confirmed that one of its fighters was killed, while Lebanon’s state-run news agency reported an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military said the cells were located near the towns of Mattat and in the disputed Shebaa Farms area. Israel later announced additional strikes on Hezbollah targets. The recent escalation in violence follows an attack by Hamas on Israel in early October.
