Moderate rain, squally seas forecast in south Tamil Nadu

Tuticorin and Pamban ports in India hoisted signal number 1 flags to warn ships of disturbed weather caused by a depression in the Bay of Bengal and a severe cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea. The region experienced widespread rainfall, with some areas receiving up to 50 mm of rain. The India Meteorological Department predicted further rainfall and thunderstorms in Tamil Nadu. The depression in the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a low-intensity cyclonic storm and move towards Bangladesh, while the cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea is expected to move towards Yemen.
