Protest against private ethanol plant turns violent in Telangana’s Narayanpet district

Villagers in Chittanoor village of Telangana protested against a private ethanol firm, leading to violence and injuries. The protest began when the villagers stopped a lorry transporting company waste due to pollution concerns. The local police tried to calm the situation but resorted to mild force and lathicharge when the protesters turned violent. Several cases have been booked against the rioters and arsonists. Police imposed section 144 of CrPC in the area to maintain order.
