Dad kills minor girl for eloping with Dalit boy in Bengaluru

A 17-year-old girl who had eloped with her Dalit friend and was rescued by the police was allegedly killed by her father in Bengaluru. The father, who also attacked his wife and brother-in-law, surrendered to the police. The girl, named Pallavi, belonged to the Gowda community and was in love with a boy from the Scheduled Caste. The father claimed that his reputation was being tarnished because of his daughter’s romantic involvement and attempts to elope. The injured are receiving treatment and are out of danger.
