‘Women’s day off’: Iceland to witness historic protest over gender pay gap

Tens of thousands of women and non-binary individuals in Iceland, including their Prime Minister, are participating in a groundbreaking strike to draw attention to the country’s gender pay gap and gender-based violence. This strike, the first of its kind in almost fifty years, involves participants from various sectors and aims to bring everyday life to a standstill.
