Israel’s military tells UN in Gaza: ask Hamas for fuel

Israel’s military suggested that the United Nations ask Hamas for fuel supplies after the UN agency providing aid to Palestinians in Gaza warned it would have to halt operations without fuel. The US is leading negotiations to create a sustained delivery mechanism for aid to Gaza, but no fuel has been allowed in yet. Israel has expressed concerns about the diversion of fuel by Hamas. The World Health Organization reported that six hospitals in Gaza have already shut down due to lack of fuel.
