Fashion designer loses Rs 11 lakh to online job fraud

Two individuals have been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly scamming a fashion designer out of Rs 10.67 lakh. The scam involved promising the designer a part-time job of ‘Like and Subscribe’ YouTube videos. The fraudsters communicated with the victim through WhatsApp and Telegram messages, asking her to share her bank account details. They then convinced her to invest in a business scheme, promising high profits. After realizing she couldn’t transfer money from the virtual wallet they had set up, the victim reported the fraud and the culprits were apprehended.
