Tamil Nadu: Porcupine kills tiger in rare wildlife encounter

A nine-year-old male tiger was found dead in the Amaravathi forest range in Coimbatore. The postmortem revealed that the tiger died from injuries sustained in a fight with a porcupine. The tiger had injuries on its front legs and knees, and porcupine spikes were found inside its body, indicating that it may have eaten the porcupine. The tiger had starved for at least three days before its death. Samples will be sent for further testing.
