Dussehra: Amdavadis spend Rs 175cr on fafda-jalebi

Despite a 10% price increase, people in Ahmedabad showed their unwavering love for Dussehra favorites, fafda and jalebi, with long queues at farsan stores. The city reportedly had around 8.4 lakh kg each of fafda and jalebi, amounting to approximately Rs 175 crore. Some customers had to wait for hours to get their sweets and savories, while others opted to order through food delivery apps due to the long queues. Ravan Dahan events, marking the festival of Vijaya Dashami, were also organized in various locations.
