Gill inches closer to dethroning Babar from no.1 spot

Star India opener Shubman Gill on Wednesday closed in on world no.1 ODI batsman Babar Azam in the latest rankings released by the ICC, narrowing the gap to a mere 6 points. Pakistan skipper Babar, who has a total of 829 rating points is closely followed by Gill with 823 points. While Babar has had a shaky World Cup so far with 157 runs from five matches, Gill who missed a couple of games due to health concerns has scored 95 runs in the three matches in the ongoing cricketing extravaganza.
