Swiss woman murder: Delhi cops trying to get biometric info

Delhi Police has requested permission from the Ministry of External Affairs to obtain biometric details of Swiss national Nina Berger, who was allegedly killed by Gurpreet Singh. The police want to confirm the identity of the body found, as Berger’s family is unable to travel to Delhi. The police have obtained necessary documents, but want to match biometric details for certainty. A Delhi court has granted police custody of the alleged murderer for five days. Hair strands and stains recovered from the car in which Berger was murdered have been sent for analysis.
