PM Security Lapse In Punjab Now Case Study For IPS

The January 2022 incident when Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy was stopped on a flyover in Punjab was used as a case study for the latest batch of IPS trainees at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy. The trainees were taught about the precautions that need to be taken while providing security to VIPs and what went wrong in Punjab. They were also exposed to case studies on left-wing extremism and cybercrime. The next batch of IPS probationers will join the academy in November.
