Linde lifts outlook again as clean energy shift boosts earnings
Linde, the world’s largest industrial gases company, has raised its annual earnings guidance for the third time this year due to the global push for clean energy. The company expects adjusted earnings per share to grow by 14-15% this year, up from a previous guidance of 12-14%. Linde’s manufacturing and food and beverage units were the main drivers of growth, while sales in its electronics and metals units declined. The company has consistently beaten earnings estimates and plans to invest more than $50 billion worldwide over the next 10 years.
