Sharad Purnima 2023 Do’s and Don’ts to follow on Ashwin Purnima
Sharad Purnima 2023, also known as Ashwin Purnima, is a significant day for Hindus. People worship Lord Satyanarayan, Lord Vishnu, and the Moon, observing a fast and offering prayers. This year, it falls on October 28 and coincides with a Lunar Eclipse. During this time, it is advised to chant mantras, offer bhog, maintain celibacy, and take a holy dip in the Ganga river. However, one should avoid eating tamasik food, consuming alcohol, cutting hair and nails, arguments, auspicious activities, gambling, and insulting one’s mother.
