Jawan smashes paver block on cop’s head over traffic fine

A 25-year-old Army jawan was arrested for allegedly attempting to kill a traffic constable in Pune. The jawan, identified as Vaibhav Mangate, had a grudge against the constable who had fined him for a traffic violation a month earlier. Without warning, Mangate hit the constable on the head with a paver block, causing a severe injury. Other traffic constables apprehended Mangate and he was brought to the police station. A case has been lodged against him for attempt to murder and obstructing a public servant from discharging his duties. The injured constable is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
