‘Ration scam’: ED arrests Bengal minister Jyotipriyo Mallick

This action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act after more than 17-18 hours of questioning. Mallick, who is a diabetic patient with various ailments, was apprehended at his residence in the Salt Lake area on the outskirts of Kolkata and brought to the ED’s office at 3:30 am.
