Mahua Moitra can depose Nov 2: Ethics panel

The ethics committee of Lok Sabha has agreed to reschedule TMC MP Mahua Moitra’s deposition in the “cash-for-query” scam, but has made it clear that no further postponements will be accepted. Moitra had acknowledged sharing her Parliament login details with businessman Darshan Hiranandani, and the committee has asked her to appear on November 2 instead of October 31. The TMC has dismissed the parliamentary probe as “politically motivated” and Moitra has denied taking cash from Hiranandani. The committee has stated that no further requests for extension will be entertained.
