Maratha quota agitators torch 2 NCP MLAs’ homes, offices

Protesters in Marathwada’s Beed district set fire to the bungalow of NCP MLA Prakash Solanke, demanding reservation for the Maratha community. There were also reports of self-immolation attempts. Several other properties, including the NCP district headquarters and a hotel, were torched. Authorities imposed curbs on gatherings in the area and most government offices were shut. Protesters also targeted the office of a BJP MLA in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
