Goa couple cheats investors of Rs 20cr after bourse promise

A couple from Goa has been booked by the economic offences cell (EOC) for cheating investors of over Rs 20 crore. The accused allegedly promised to invest the money in the stock market and assured high returns. However, they failed to pay the promised returns and principal amount to the investors, misappropriating the money for their personal gains. Most of the investors are retired government employees. The case was brought to light by a retired LDC who approached the EOC with a complaint. More investors are expected to come forward with their complaints.
