US Navy test fires missile from unmanned boat
The US Navy’s Task Force 59 has conducted an exercise in international waters in the Middle East, marking the first time this has happened in the region. The exercise, called Digital Talon, involved using unmanned technology and artificial intelligence to locate and attack simulated enemy forces. The Navy successfully launched live munitions from an unmanned vessel to destroy a target boat, with a human operator making the engagement decisions. This is the second successful demonstration of these capabilities by the Navy in recent months.
