Government unveils draft norms to help earn ‘green credits’

The Indian environment ministry has released two draft methodologies for generating green credits through water harvesting and tree plantation projects. The initiatives are part of the Green Credit Programme (GCP), which aims to promote environmentally friendly practices across the country. The drafts list appropriate structures and species for action by individuals, cooperatives, and local bodies.
