Constable travels 230km to kill wife in K’taka

A police constable suspected his wife’s fidelity and became enraged when she didn’t answer his 150 phone calls. He traveled over 200km to his wife’s parental home, consumed poison, and strangled her to death. The wife had recently given birth. The constable is in critical condition and will be taken into custody after his discharge from the hospital. The wife’s father has accused the constable’s mother of dowry harassment. A murder case has been registered against the constable.
