Cops steal booze worth Rs 1.5L from police station

Six people, including three police personnel, were arrested in Mahisagar district, Gujarat, for stealing high-end liquor bottles worth Rs 1.57 lakh that had been seized by the police. The liquor, which was being transported from Chandigarh to Surat, was hidden amongst 75 ceiling fans. Assistant sub-inspector Arvind Rajibhai was caught on CCTV entering the lock-up and removing a bottle. Further investigation revealed that Arvind, along with five others, had stolen the liquor and fans. This is not the first incident of police officers stealing seized liquor in Gujarat.
