Altman on sacking: ‘Like reading your own eulogy’
OpenAI has removed its co-founder and CEO, Sam Altman, due to a lack of transparency with the board of directors. Altman played a significant role in promoting ChatGPT and discussing the potential risks of artificial intelligence. OpenAI’s chief technology officer, Mira Murati, will serve as interim CEO while they search for a permanent replacement. Another co-founder and executive, Greg Brockman, will step down as chairman but remain with the company. Altman expressed surprise and anger over his removal, citing conflicts with board members.
