Dublin: Protesters throng street after knife attack injured 3 children

Protests erupted in central Dublin after a knife attack on a 5-year-old girl, a woman, and two other children. The Irish police, not treating the case as terror-related, have identified a man in his 50s as a person of interest. They have a definite line of inquiry and don’t seek anyone else. Violent demonstrators attacked the police cordon, causing damage to vehicles and setting a bus and car on fire. Witnesses intervened early on to disarm the attacker. The injured include a woman in her 30s and two children aged 5 and 6.
