How Apple reworked its strategy for iPhones made in India

Apple is seeking new suppliers, including Indian, Japanese, and South Korean component makers, due to delayed government clearances for imports from existing Chinese suppliers. The company aims to establish “just-in-time” supply chains in India to expedite local production of flagship iPhones and iPads. While 14 Chinese companies received initial approvals to set up manufacturing facilities in India, the applications of four companies have been indefinitely delayed.
