Coca Cola to invest Rs 3k cr to set up plant in Guj’s Sanand

American multinational beverage manufacturer The Coca Cola Company (TCCC) plans to invest Rs 3,000 crore to set up a beverage bases and concentrates plant in Sanand Industrial Estate-II. The plant will be fully automated using robotic technology and equipped with Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-learning technology. It will also have automated storage and retrieval systems. During the construction phase, a workforce of about 1,000 persons will be employed, and when operational, the plant will have a workforce of about 400 persons, with an emphasis on gender diversity. The new plant is expected to boost ancillary industries such as packaging suppliers, flavour producers, engineering services, capital goods, and automation sectors.
