1 cr people have joined yatra flagged off by PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on November 15 from Khunti, Jharkhand. The Yatra has reached over 36,000 Gram Panchayats and witnessed participation of over 1 crore citizens, as per the data captured on the customised portal developed by MEITY. Uttar Pradesh leads with over 37 lakh people participating, followed by Maharashtra and Gujarat. Jammu & Kashmir has also shown encouraging reception, with over 9 lakh people participating. The Yatra aims to cover over 2.60 Gram Panchayats and more than 3,600 urban local bodies using IEC vans, and has focused on raising awareness about women-centric schemes.
