India a rank up, now 7th on climate change performance

India improves global CCPI ranking, secures 7th position, one up from last year. Denmark, Estonia, and Philippines perform better than India. China ranks 51st, US ranks 57th. Germany ranks 14th, UK ranks 20th. CCPI evaluates over 60 countries and the EU. India receives high ranking in GHG emissions and energy use categories. Germanwatch publishes CCPI since 2005.
