All three Greater Hyderabad police bosses changed

The Congress government in Hyderabad conducted a major overhaul of the bureaucracy by replacing all three police commissioners in Greater Hyderabad and appointing IGP Shahnawaz Qasim as secretary in the chief minister’s office. Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, Avinash Mohanty, and G Sudheer Babu were appointed as police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda respectively. The government also posted Sandeep Shandilya as the director of TS Anti Narcotics Bureau and directed Stephen Raveendra and DS Chauhan to report to the DGP office. The appointment of Shahnawaz Qasim as secretary in the CMO is unprecedented as it is typically held by IAS officers. He may be assigned to handle minority affairs again.
