These 14 oppn MPs have been suspended from Parliament

14 opposition MPs were suspended from the Winter Session for disrupting House proceedings. The Lok Sabha witnessed disruptions over demands for a statement on the security breach. Parliamentary affairs minister moved resolutions to suspend the MPs. The Rajya Sabha suspended TMC MP Derek O’Brien. The matter was referred to the privileges committee. O’Brien’s conduct was described as “defiance” and “serious misconduct”. The motion to suspend O’Brien was adopted and the TMC MP stands suspended. The House approved the motion to refer the matter to the Committee of Privileges.
