Maha: Aadhaar card tampered, used to ‘sell’ victim’s plot

Real estate agent Rajesh Chugh discovered that his 2-acre plot in Badlapur was ‘sold’ using his name and details of someone else on the Aadhaar card. The seller’s Aadhaar card had the photo and number of a fraudster named Deepak Shankar Shinde, but the name on the document had been changed to ‘Rajesh Chugh’ with the help of an Aadhaar card centre operator. Chugh filed a complaint and an FIR has been registered against six people, with three already arrested, including the operator and the scamsters who created fake documents.
