Apple settles Family Sharing lawsuit, agrees to pay $25mn

Apple has agreed to pay $25 million in a lawsuit settlement related to Family Sharing. The lawsuit, “Walter Peters v. Apple Inc.,” alleged that Apple misled users about sharing subscriptions. Apple denied wrongdoing but settled due to the burden and cost of litigation. Eligible members can file a claim for up to $30. The deadline to file a claim is March 1, 2024.
