Tourists can now enjoy cheetah sightings; two released in Kuno

Madhya Pradesh forest officials release two male cheetahs, Agni and Vayu, into the wilderness of Kuno National Park, marking a historic moment in wildlife conservation. The cheetahs were strategically released in the Ahera tourism zone, enhancing the park’s allure for safari visits. The release follows the careful monitoring of fifteen cheetahs housed in enclosures since August. With in-principle approval from the Steering Committee for Project Cheetah, this endeavor signifies a critical step in reintroducing and conserving cheetahs in the wild.
